The Fields Undergraduate Summer Research Program was held from July 2 to August 29, 2014 at the Fields Institute (Toronto, Canada).
Kateryna Tatarko, a 5th year student at the Department of Geometry, was a participant at this program.
19 students from all over the world took part in research projects supervised by leading scientists from the Fields Institute or partner universities (Western Ontario, York University and Carleton University).
The students have been working in groups of four or five in which they conducted their research in following areas: “Spectral Geometry”, “Modelling of Fetal Neurovascular Coupling”, “The model theory of C*-algebras” and “Metric Arens Irregularity”.
The students also had the opportunity to spend a week visiting at the campus of their project supervisor. Additionally they spent the summer full of unforgettable experiences visiting Niagara Falls, CN Tower, Royal Ontario Museum and many more of Toronto’s sights.
So keep in eye on the news at the Fields Institute site and submit your application!
I wish you good luck and many scientific achievements
